Mission Statement:

To provide a leadership role on youth issues, programs and policies of national and regional significance to ensure equility, protection, and quality of services to the youth through collaboration, cooperation and leveraging of resources with all key stakeholders.

Priority Goals:

1. Development of the Palau National Youth Policy;

2. Develop programs to address social problems of the disadvantaged youth;

3.Promote and develop programs to improve skill development programs for the young Palauans; and

4.Develop other programs to meet the needs of the youth.Available

Programs:

1. Skill Development Program:Small Isalnd State Fund is the name of the grant that helps small island nations in the Pacific through the Secretariat of the Pacific Community. DNYA and the SISF Committee (who sub-grants the money to any agency providing services to the youth upon request). DNYA monitors and evaluates the recipients and collects reports at the end of each program.

2.Hawaii Job Corps Program:This is a United States Federal Program based in Hawaii for vocational trades. The program is for those between the ages of 18 to 24 years. It offers the following vocations:Automotive Repair, Business Technologies, Culinary Arts, Facility Maintenance, Health Occupations, Landscaping, and Painter Pre-Apprentice.
