Ministry of Commerce & Trade
The mission of the Ministry of Commerce
and Trade is two-fold. On one hand, the Ministry ensures the
continued economic growth and development of the Republic
through the empowerment of local human resources and a strategic
strengthening of local skills coupled with
foreign manpower in order to meet the growing demands of both
the public and private economic sectors. On the other, the Ministry also guarantees the growth of Palau's trade and commerce sector through
the strengthening of local cottage industries, tourism,
effective management of land, sea and air transportation and
the proper utilization of information and communications technologies.
